Gillian Anderson is once again asking women to share their sexual fantasies in a new book, the Guardian reports.
The X-Files and Sex Education actor is preparing a follow-up to her 2024 anthology, Want, published in the U.S. by Abrams. The volume collected fantasies and reflections on sex from anonymous women around the world, including one written by Anderson herself.
In an Instagram post, Anderson wrote, “Want gave thousands of women the freedom to talk about sex without shame; to see themselves in the words of strangers and reflect on their own desires. It unlocked so much for so many, and it was just the beginning of a deeper conversation. We want to throw the door wide open with another book, reaching more women, making it more international, and even more daring.”
Anderson is also the author of three thrillers, co-written with Jeff Rovin, and a nonfiction book, We: A Manifesto for Women Everywhere, co-written with Jennifer Nadel.
She invited women to submit their own fantasies via a website, DearGillian.com, by May 23. “To maintain your anonymity we cannot recompense any of our contributors,” Anderson writes on the website. “However, I will make a charitable donation of £500 per fantasy published in the book, split equally between the charities Women for Women and War Child to support the important work they do for women and children across the world.”
