Emily Giffin has a new novel coming next year, People magazine reports.
Ballantine will publish the author’s Love You More in the summer. The press calls the novel “gripping and deeply moving.”
Giffin made her literary debut in 2004 with the novel Something Borrowed, which was adapted into a 2011 romantic comedy movie directed by Luke Greenfield and starring Kate Hudson, Ginnifer Goodwin, and John Krasinski. A sequel, Something Blue, came out a year later.
She’s since written several more novels, including Love the One You’re With, Where We Belong, First Comes Love, All We Ever Wanted, and, most recently, The Summer Pact.
Love You More will follow Billie, a New York physician engaged to be married whose life changes after receiving a phone call from Mick, her high school ex-boyfriend. “Love You More is a story about the plot twists life throws at us—and how love, in all its forms, has the power to change everything,” Ballantine says.
“Love You More is about how the past—including our friendships, first loves and losses—shapes the choices we make later in life,” Giffin told People. “It’s a story of ambition, identity and belonging, but above all, it’s about love in its many forms and the courage it takes to claim the life we truly want. I can’t wait for readers to fall in love with these characters the way I have.”
Love You More is scheduled for publication on July 7, 2026.
